The International
Human Rights Committee of the International Law Association, American
branch, is drafting an amicus brief in Darweesh v. Trump explaining the
role of international human rights law in the U.S. legal system in
general and as applicable to the Executive Order of January 27
specifically. Any international human rights lawyer or scholar is
welcome to join the brief, which currently has 15 signatories. Our draft
should be available in 4 days (it is due on February 13).
If anyone in the
Human Rights IG would like to review the brief and sign on, the ILA
would be very grateful for your assistance. They request that you
contact Aaron Fellmeth (Chair of ILA, International Human Rights
Committee) at: aaron.fellmeth@asu.edu.
