HUMAN RIGHTS ESSAY AWARD
The Human Rights Essay Award at ASIL Academic Partner American University Washington College of Law is an annual competition that seeks to stimulate the production of scholarly work in international human rights law. Essays are accepted in both English and Spanish, and one winner will be selected for each language. Authors of the winning essays will be awarded a full scholarship including per diem, lodging, and transportation to and from Washington, DC, to complete the 2017 Program of Advanced Studies on Human Rights and Humanitarian Law. The topic for 2017 is "Emerging Challenges in the Relationship between International Humanitarian Law and International Human Rights Law." The deadline for submissions is February 1, 2017.
